Dr Anita Lim is a rheumatologist at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Singapore.
She treats rheumatology conditions including joint injections, intravenous therapies, immunosuppressive treatments, disease modifying anti-rheumatic drugs and biological therapies.
She was a rheumatologist at the National University Hospital (NUH) and is currently a visiting consultant there.
Dr Lim graduated from the University of Glasgow, UK. She did her specialist training in rheumatology at the Addenbrooke’s Hospital Cambridge, and the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, UK, and contributed to the exploration of biologic therapy for the inflammatory arthritis. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, London, UK and the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
She has contributed to the initial paediatric rheumatology programmes at NUH and KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Dr Lim was involved with formulating guidelines for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and psoriatic arthritis which informed the Ministry of Health’s subsidisation of biologic and targeted therapy. She has more than 30 years of experience.
She previously served at NUH’s hospital administration as vice-chairman of the medical board and on the NUH ethics committee. She continues to be an active member of the national rheumatology exit exam committee. Dr Lim is also an adjunct assistant professor at NUS’ Centre for Biomedical Ethics and a member of the British Society of Rheumatology.
