Dr Lee Khai Pin is a paediatrician at Parkway East Hospital, Singapore.
He has a special interest in paediatric emergency medicine, and is experienced in treating acutely ill and injured children.
He has more than 20 years of experience in paediatrics and over 12 years in paediatric emergency medicine.
He currently heads Parkway East Paediatric Urgent Care, Singapore’s sole private urgent care centre dedicated to addressing the urgent medical needs of children and adolescents.
He was formerly the head of the children’s emergency department at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) from 2016 – 2021.
Dr Lee graduated from the National University of Singapore and gained membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in the UK. He is a member of the hospital infection control committee at KKH. He is also the medical director of the SingHealth Community Isolation Facilities (Medical) for the Ministry of Health in Singapore.
Besides his clinical work, Dr Lee is an adjunct assistant professor at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Duke-NUS Medical School. He is also a clinical teacher at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. He was previously a physician faculty of the SingHealth residency programmes in paediatrics and emergency medicine.
Dr Lee has presented on emergency medicine and paediatrics at several regional conferences, and was also the instructor of the Pre-hospital Paediatric Life Support course.
He has been a chapter author of several books on emergency medicine. He is also a former associate editor of the Hong Kong Journal of Emergency Medicine and reviewer of the Singapore Medical Journal.
Dr Lee is a recipient of several awards including the Singapore Health Quality Service Awards and the SingHealth Excellence Award.
