Dr Kang Ning is a cardiothoracic surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore.
His subspecialties are thoracic and vascular surgery, and cardiac surgery in adults.
He treats various conditions including coronary artery disease, lung cancer, lung nodules, valve repair/replacement, and valvular heart disease. He also specialises in video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery in variant thoracic diseases.
He is currently a consultant surgeon at several hospitals in Singapore including Mount Elizabeth Hospitals, Gleneagles Hospital, and Parkway East Hospital. He is also a visiting consultant at National Heart Centre Singapore.
Dr Kang trained at Vancouver General Hospital and St Paul Hospital, Canada, and did his second fellowship at Shanghai Chest Hospital, China. He has been practising medicine for more than 20 years. He has performed more than 200 surgeries in 2021 and near 300 surgeries in 2022, half of which are cardiac, and the remaining thoracic.
He has been performing cardiac and thoracic surgery in Singapore's public hospitals since 2016.
He is an adjunct assistant professor at Duke-NUS Medical School. His research interest includes lung cancer.
He is a recipient of several Singapore Health Quality Service Awards.
