Dr Ganesan Naidu is an orthopaedic surgeon at Parkway East Hospital, Singapore.
He is experienced in orthopaedic trauma surgery. His subspecialty interests are pelvic and acetabular fractures, limb reconstruction and fractures around joints. He also performs primary joint replacement surgery of the elbow, hip and knee, and has keen interest in arthroscopic sports surgery.
He was the chief of the orthopaedic trauma service and head of the department of orthopaedic surgery at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH). He also set up and led the orthogeriatric service there.
Dr Naidu graduated from the National University of Singapore. He was admitted as a fellow to the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK and completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery. He obtained his fellowship in orthopaedics and traumatology from the Royal College. He was awarded a scholarship to further his interest in orthopaedic trauma at the Unfallklinik, Germany. He has been practising medicine for more than 30 years.
He is the honorary secretary of the Singapore Orthopaedic Association.
Dr Naidu was an adjunct associate professor at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and a regular lecturer at the School of Health Sciences, Nanyang Polytechnic. He is also a faculty member of AOTrauma Asia Pacific as well as in the advanced trauma life support and definitive surgery in trauma care courses at TTSH.
